چکیده
Osteoporosis (OP); It is a metabolic bone disease characterized by decreased mineral density (BMD) and strength, increased fragility fracture risk, deterioration in the microarchitecture of tissue. The most important cause morbidity mortality OP are fractures such as osteoporotic hip fractures. Prevention treatment osteoporosis can prevent comorbidities. In this paper, available information about Osteoporotic briefly reviewed.

An Overview of Postmenopausal Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis is the outcome of a group of diseases with diverse etiology of which post menopausal variety makes up a significant share. Consensus Development Conference defined osteoporosis as “a systemic skeletal disease characterized by low bone mass and microarchitectural deterioration with a consequent increase in bone fragility and susceptibility to fracture”1. It has been operationally de...

Glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIOP) is one of the most serious adverse effects of glucocorticoids. Despite guidelines on the management of GIOP, effective medications and fracture outpatient clinics, this condition remains under-recognized and under-treated. This review covers recent insights into mechanisms involved in GIOP, monitoring for adverse effects of glucocorticoids on bone and ...

It is well established that osteoporosis and diabetes are prevalent diseases with significant associated morbidity and mortality. Patients with diabetes mellitus have an increased risk of bone fractures. In type 1 diabetes, the risk is increased by ∼6 times and is due to low bone mass. Despite increased bone mineral density (BMD), in patients with type 2 diabetes the risk is increased (which is...
